Just wanted to share some really exciting news with you: as of this morning, we now have more than 5,000 'likes' on the board's Facebook page.
For those of you familiar with the board's communications strategy, you'll recall that social media is a critical component, so reaching 5,000 likes is an important milestone for us. It's significant considering that the first 3 years we only had about 250 followers, but in less than 4 years we added another 4,750. That's a huge amount of growth in a short amount of time, and we can only assume that figure will continue to grow.
Facebook and social media have allowed us to create a virtual community of people who are keenly interested in the content we provide, and many of those people share that content with their own network of friends and family. It's the virtual equivalent of word-of-mouth, but with the potential to reach vastly more people. And the more people who read about the great things happening within our board, the greater the likelihood that we'll further enhance the already solid reputation of our schools and everything they offer.
To celebrate in our latest milestone, we created this video to celebrate in the occasion. We hope you enjoy and share it on your social media sites as well.
So if you're one of the people who recently liked us on Facebook, or invited your friends to do so: thanks for the support! We couldn't have done it without you. Now let's keep the momentum going!
