2023-2024 School Year Registration Process
- Click the Register button and complete the Academy Registration form.
- Students that are not currently registered with WECDSB must also complete a school registration package.
- WECDSB students not currently registered with one of the sports academy schools listed below must also complete a school registration package.
- Go to the School Cash website to set up your School Cash Online Account in order to make future payments.

Why consider the Dance Academy?
Open to students in Grades 7-12, the Dance Academy will help student athletes learn and improve on advanced individual skills and tactics, while developing a lifestyle on and off the floor that emphasizes building character through achieving both athletic and scholastic success. Purposeful practices led by highly trained staff, strength and conditioning designed to maximize physical attributes, and a focus on leadership will all position the student athlete to achieve their individual goals.
Technical development focuses on formal dance training in various styles of dance:
- Jazz
- Ballet
- Contemporary/Modern
- Lyrical
- Cultural
- Hip Hop
Students will also learn the foundations of dance, the creative process, nutrition for dancers, dance injury awareness and prevention, as well as special training in the areas of:
- Flexibility
- Strengthening
- Balance
- Stretching
- Alignment
- Elements of space, shape, time and energy
- Elements of dance performance and choreography
2023-2024 Fee Structure Dance Skills Academy
Registration fees partially offset the operational costs to successfully run the academies (ie. facilities, skills expert wages, National or Provincial sports organization fees, transportation and equipment). Given the sport itself and the facilities used, the registration fees vary between the sports academies that are offered.
