ESL elementary students require a special level of care.
In our elementary schools, support programs are developed cooperatively between the classroom teacher and our itinerant ESL/ELD teachers and are delivered in setting that best support our students - in their regular classroom, in a group, or individually.
During assessment and orientation, we accurately determine the appropriate literacy and numeracy abilities of each student and provide specific programs for students to succeed.

English as a Second Language (ESL) and English Language Development (ELD) programs help students learn English so they can participate fully in the curriculum and school life with their English-speaking classmates.
English as a Second Language (ESL) programs are for students who have had age-appropriate schooling in their home country.
English Language Development (ELD) programs are for students who have had limited prior schooling and have not had the opportunity to develop age-appropriate skills in any language.
NOTE: We also provide high school transition planning for senior elementary ESL students so that they can continue to achieve when they move into secondary school.
