Area Grade 6 students won’t want to miss an opportunity to check out everything that our three middle schools have to offer when they host their virtual open house nights next week.

“Our middle schools provide Grade 7 and 8 students with everything they need to start getting ready for high school,” said Director of Education Terry Lyons. “They foster independence, by creating an environment that allows students to grow and mature, and each of them have their own unique programs for students to choose from.”

Corpus Christi Catholic Middle School, located at F.J. Brennan Catholic High School, was the first of the WECDSB’s middle schools, and includes the option for students to enrol in many of the sports academies that are offered at Central Park Athletics.

Cardinal Carter Catholic Middle School, located in Leamington at Cardinal Carter Catholic Secondary School, also offers sports academy programs as well as French Immersion and the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program.

Assumption College Catholic Middle School, located at Assumption College Catholic High School, was just recently certified as International Baccalaureate World School for its Middle Years Program. Transportation for students who would like to enrol in the IB program is provided from LaSalle, South Windsor and Lakeshore.

Due to the pandemic, all open houses will be held virtually this year, but will still provide students with the opportunity to learn more about programs and student life, and to meet the kind, caring, and dedicated staff at each one of these schools.

Corpus Christi Catholic Middle School: Tuesday, January 26 at 6:30 p.m
