We Are Many, We Are One

Catholic Education Week
Posted on 04/27/2023

Catholic Education Week begins on April 30 and it's a wonderful time to reflect upon how we are all united in communion with one another.

“Publicly funded Catholic education in Ontario is something for which we are all grateful,” says Fulvio Valentinis, Chair of the Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board, “and Catholic Education Week is a time to pause and consider how fortunate we are to celebrate our faith in our schools together as one.”

This year’s theme is We Are Many, We Are One, and throughout the week, students and staff at Catholic schools throughout Windsor-Essex will be taking part in activities intended to remind them about how their faith can change the world.

“When students come to our schools they are completely immersed in a Catholic experience and they are constantly reminded of the fundamental Gospel values that Jesus taught us,” says Emelda Byrne, the WECDSB’s Director of Education. “Through following His example, our students learn they are united in a covenant to work towards fulfilling His vision by creating a more loving and peaceful world.”
