2024-2025 School Year Registration Process
- Click the Register button for the school of your choice and complete the Registration form.
- Students that are not currently registered with WECDSB must also complete a school registration package.
- WECDSB students not currently registered with one of the host school(s) listed below must also complete a school registration package.
- In June 2023 you will receive an email confirming your registration.

Why consider the Level 1 Carpentry Apprenticeship Program?
Earn the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) with the red seal distinction of the Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) in Construction.
The SHSM in Construction provides students with the following industry recognized certification:
- Certification and Training
- Standard First Aid
- CPR / AED (Defibrillator)
- Basic Electrical Safety
- WHMIS
- Working at Heights
- Confined Spaces
- Lock-out and Tagging
- Elevated Work Platforms
The successful completion of six (6) technological education courses totalling 530 hours of instruction including the following courses:
- TCC 3 – Construction Technology: Carpentry 110 hours
- ACE104 – PC CAD (Dual Credit) 45 hours
- WLD208 ‐ Basic Welding Process & Fabricating (Dual Credit) 45 hours
- MBF-3C - Math for Construction Academy 110 hours
- TCE 4C – Construction Technology: Electrical 110 hours
- TCJ 3C – Construction Engineering Technology (Optional) 110 hours
- TDJ 4O – Technological Design (Elective/Optional) 110 hours
Embedded in the program, students will:
- Complete the Level 1 Carpentry Basic apprenticeship training (240 hours) by the end of their grade 12 year
- Complete approximately 1000 hours of cooperative education over two years
- Participate in the Windsor-Essex Habitat for Humanity Home Build and Projects
