Golf tournament posterThere's still time to register for this year's golf tournament, but spots are filling up fast.

"We really wanted to create an event that would bring together members of the WECDSB family for a fun day of bonding, which is really what happened at last year's tournament," said Director of Education Terry Lyons. "So we're really encouraging our staff members to come out for a great day on the course and to support a very worthwhile cause."

The recipient of this year's proceeds is Autism Services Windsor,  which provides individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder with specialized programs that enable them to reach their potential, while providing their families and other members of our community with resources and support.

Last year the tournament raised $15,000 for the Katelyn Bedard Bown Marrow Association, a local charity which raises money for cancer research while matching bone marrow donors with needy recipients going through treatment.

This year's tournament takes place on June 8 at Roseland Golf and Curling Club. There's a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. with lunch immediately following.
