At the December 13, 2022 public Board meeting, the Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board approved Senior Administration’s recommendation to initiate a feasibility study to determine if there is interest in expanding the elementary French Immersion (FI) program to Sacred Heart Catholic Elementary School.

SURVEY

We are in the process of conducting a French Immersion survey for families in the Sacred Heart community. The purpose of this survey is to identify interest in starting a French Immersion program at Sacred Heart Catholic Elementary School for the 2023-2024 school year for Junior Kindergarten, Senior Kindergarten and Grade 1.

The online survey will be available from January 11, 2023 to February 10, 2023.

PUBLIC CONSULTATION MEETING  

A French Immersion program enhancement committee has been established. This committee will present the recommendations and hear from stakeholders who may be affected by the recommendation to expand the French Immersion program to Sacred Heart for the 2023-2024 school year for Junior Kindergarten, Senior Kindergarten and Grade 1. From this consultation process, the committee will make final recommendations to the Board of Trustees.
