A central part of maintaining our commitment to being wise and responsible stewards of our resources while providing outstanding learning experiences for our students is ensuring that we are optimally utilizing our existing facilities.
This means we are sometimes required to take a close look at our schools to make certain that we are fully maximizing the use of our spaces.
That’s why we have established boundary review committees to study student capacity issues in the neighbourhoods which include
St. Rose Catholic Elementary School and
St. Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Elementary School, as well as
St. John Vianney Catholic Elementary School and
St. Pius X Catholic Elementary School.
Based on the findings of a recent comprehensive analysis by Watson & Associates Economists Ltd., we have recommended a number of changes to the boundaries of these schools, however before proceeding with them, it is important for us to solicit feedback from the families that would be affected by them.
If you click on the menu items on the left side of this page, you will find important information about these proposed changes as well as dates and times when we will hold public meetings to provide additional details and obtain feedback. Once these public meetings have concluded and the feedback has been summarized, the committees will make final recommendations to the Board of Trustees for their consideration of possible implementation for the 2023-24 school year.
We hope you will familiarize yourself with these details and plan to attend these important public meetings.
