COMMUNICATION
As information can change quickly, please ensure that we have your most current phone numbers on file, as School Messenger voicemails will be sent at regular intervals. Additional information will be sent through your son’s or daughter’s Mytools2Go email address. In addition, please ensure that we have your email address on file at the school should we need to contact you via email.
Information will also be shared using the school’s and board’s social media accounts.

SCREENING
Each day before school, parents/guardians are required to assess their children for signs of illness, using the Ministry of Health COVID Screening tool. If a student is experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19, they must stay home from school and should seek appropriate medical attention.
As with all schools we have procedures in place to help minimize the spread of COVID-19.

STUDENT ATTESTATION
The Ministry of Education requires every secondary student attending class in our schools to attest that they have completed and passed the Ontario Covid-19 School Screening.
Students will receive an email every morning. This email links to a Google Form they will fill out. The Google Form will direct them to the Ministry screening site. Once the Ministry screening has been completed, they will complete the Google Form.

VISITORS
Only essential visitors will be allowed to enter the school or any of our community facilities, and must do so by making pre-arranged appointments. Visits to ensure school safety, such as inspections by fire prevention or public health, will continue to take place. Essential visitors to the school will be required to self-screen, perform hand hygiene upon entering the building and wear a medical mask while on school premises.
Parents/guardians will not be allowed to enter schools at this time, including the main office, except in case of an emergency or by appointment, as directed by administration. Communication between parents/guardians and teaching staff and/or administration will be through phone calls, email or video conferencing.
