Welcome back Eagles!  We hope that everyone has had a most enjoyable summer vacation.  Please see below for some pertinent information regarding the start of the school year:

Bussing: An updated guide to bus procedures can be found here.  For those parents/guardians of children who ride the bus, please take a moment to read the document as it provides information regarding seating, bus stops, masking, etc. 

 
First-Day Procedures
On Friday September 1st after 4PM, all families will be notified of their child's teacher and classroom number. Families will receive this information by accessing their child's  mytools2go email account. May be a graphic of poster and text that says 'CLASSROOM ASSIGNMENTS Students will be receiving their classroom assignments on Friday September 1st, 2023 after 4pm through their Tools2Go account! Accessing MyTools2Go Email Accounts Το access yur account visit www.gmail.com Students logging in for the first time: Username: first. .lastname@mytools2go. Password: birthdate (mmddyyyy) Students already using mytools2go: Username: first. lastname@mytools2go.ca Password: password already created'


This 2023-24 school year Morning Entry and Dismissal for OLOA is as follows:

Morning Entry
 ALL STUDENTS (drop off, walkers, bus) will enter through the main front doors of the school in the morning. 

End of Day Dismissal
STUDENTS BEING PICKED UP will exit through the Kindergarten doors at the front of the school.
STUDENTS THAT ARE WALKING HOME and BUS STUDENTS will exit through the main front doors of the school.


Recess Procedures
We have a balanced day schedule at Our Lady of the Annunciation which provides two sets of breaks. The first break is from 10:55 to 11:15Am and ALL STUDENTS are outside together. The second recess break outside is from 1:15-1:35 PM. After outside recess breaks, students return to their classrooms to eat their snacks/lunch. students will remain in their classroom cohorts during recess.

As indicated in the WECDSB Return to School Guidelines for lunch, students will take two nutritional breaks in their respective classrooms. The sharing of food is strictly prohibited.  It is important that children come to school with their lunch/snacks. The practice of dropping off food at the office will not be allowed at this time. For schools like ours that are on a balanced day schedule, students may go home for lunch during the second nutritional/activity break only. This is from 1:35 to 1:55 p.m. at OLOA. 

It remains an honour and privilege to serve as your prinicpal. Together, we will make this school year one of growth and achievement for all of our students.  
Enjoy the remaining days of summer.  We're looking forward to having our wonderful OLOA family back together again as well as a successful start for the 2023- 2024 school year!
