Credit Recovery Student Guide Summer 2025
CREDIT RECOVERY is designed for students who were unsuccessful in completing a course and achieved a minimum final mark of 35%.
NOTE: Consistent daily attendance is mandatory. Students who miss any portion of a day will be considered absent, and more that one absence will result in removal from the course
All students are subject to the WECDSB Code of Conduct. Failure to comply will result in removal from the program.
Program Description:
Credit Recovery courses are available for WECDSB students who, during the school year, have been unsuccessful in one or two courses. The student must take the same course, grade and stream that was previously taken. A maximum of two credits can be recovered during the summer session; one credit for each Summer School semester. A student can not take two Credit Recovery credits in the same Summer School semester.
Note: Civics (CHV2O) and Career Studies (GLC2O) are separate courses and require separate registrations.
This program is delivered in a Face-To-Face mode only.
Regular attendance is crucial for student success. Students MUST attend from 8:20 AM to 2:50 PM, Monday to Friday.

Course Registration:
Registration Closes: Friday, June 13, 3:00PM
No additional registrations will be accepted after these dates. The WECDSB reserves the right to revise, limit or cancel programming because of enrollment, and other circumstances. Students will be notified of course cancellations
Report Cards:
Final report cards will be available by the end of August/early September. For WECDSB students enrolled in a day school, the report card will be sent to their home school. Marks will NOT be given out over the telephone. If students wish to know their mark prior to formal reporting, please communicate with your teacher.
Course Withdrawal:
Withdrawals PRIOR to the first day of the course:
• WECDSB students must withdraw through their home school guidance department.
Withdrawals AFTER the first day of the course (even if student has not attended):
• Students must use the withdraw link found on the summer school website.

The WECDSB’s computing and information technology facilities and resources are made available to students in support of their learning, research requirements and career preparation. Students and parents/guardians will be asked to review the WECDSB’s Secondary School Acceptable Use of Information Technology Resources
