The Artemis II space capsule is headed back to earth after a successful orbit of the moon, with a splashdown scheduled to occur in the Pacific Ocean on Friday evening.

Across the WECDSB, students have been learning about this historic mission, with special interest being paid to Canadian astronaut and crew member Jeremy Hansen.

This morning, a group of students from St. William Catholic Elementary School and their teacher appeared on CBC Windsor Morning with host Amy Dodge to talk about a special project they were involved with to commemorate the mission - NASA’s first trip to the moon in 50 years.
