Selecting the right Catholic high school is one of the most important decisions that children will make in their lifetime.
“Besides being a time of great personal growth, high school provides teenagers with an opportunity to learn, explore a variety of subjects, to figure out their strengths and their interests, and to start preparing for their future pathways, whether that’s post-secondary education or the world of work,” said Emelda Byrne, Director of Education.
Starting next month, elementary students will have the chance to start learning more about their WECDSB high school of choice as they begin offering their Grade 8 Open House events.
“These events will allow students to get a great overview of the diverse range of programming that all of our high schools have to offer,” Byrne said. “Whether it’s STEM Academies, sports academies, our International Baccalaureate programs, French Immersion, or skilled trades and co-op education programs, we offer a great wealth of opportunities for students to explore and help prepare them for their pathway after they graduate.”
