Catholic Education Week begins on May 4 and it's a wonderful time to reflect upon the distinct identity of our schools and the invaluable contributions they make to the lives of our students, our families, and our broader community.
This year, the theme Pilgrims of Hope resonates deeply, especially for the staff, students and families of the Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board.
This theme, inspired by the Jubilee Year announced by our fondly remembered Pope Francis, invites us to reflect on our shared faith pilgrimage, and our responsibility to be beacons of hope in the world.
All of our schools have activities planned throughout the entire week which will build upon this theme and remind students of how grateful we are to have publicly funded Catholic education in Ontario.
