Concept
This piece is about the County of Essex.

Although St. Thomas of Villanova is in LaSalle, it is situated on the edge of Windsor and is near the town of Essex. It is surrounded by fields and is close to St. Joseph’s Church and the Canard River. The students are bused to the school and come from a variety of smaller towns and farms in the area.

We chose to illustrate various aspects of life in Essex County. The work illustrates a diversity ranging from work in the factory to that on the farm. Included are also social topics including the Ford Strike of the 20’s and adolescent life at the mall.
