Concept

This work is about the creation of Earth and the living creatures on and surrounding the planet.

In the process, we examined the variety of life on the planet and students selected one or more species with which to work. The work is not meant to be a comprehensive study of creation rather it is a compilation of images selected by students to be included in the mural.

“ And God saw it was good…very good”

The title of the work is taken from Genesis and alludes to the beauty of creation.

The work includes a series of clay hands which are cemented to a brick pillar opposite to the main mural wall.
