Elementary English Language Learners (ELLs) Grades 1-8ProgrammingInformation gathered from academic records, from parents and through initial assessment determines programming and the amount of time and frequency of ESL or ELD support. Students attend the neighbourhood school and are placed in age appropriate classrooms where their academic and social development is enhanced, because they are able to engage in the learning process with their peers. ELLs spend the majority of time in their mainstream classroom.
