As a Catholic school community we are commited to integrating the teachings of Jesus Christ into all aspects of school life. ** FULL-DAY ALTERNATE DAY AND FULL-DAY EVERY DAY KINDERGARTEN PROGRAMS
Most schools will be offering kindergarten programs in a full-day alternate day schedule, with full-day every day being offered in eleven locations.

Full-Day Every Day: For families who are interested in the French Immersion program, the Board offers early French Immersion programs full-day every day in Junior and Senior Kindergarten at: St. Mary Catholic School (Maidstone). Also available, full-day alternate day French Immersion Program at St. Anne Catholic Elementary School for students in the city of Windsor. In addition, the Ministry of Education recently announced that an Full-Day Early Learning Kindergarten Program will be implemented over the next five years, with 20% of Junior and Senior Kindergarten students participating in a full-day every day program in this, the second year.

Full-Day Alternate Day: All remaining Catholic schools will offer a full-day alternate day kindergarten schedule. Prior to the new school year, a calendar will be provided to assist parents in keeping track of their child's kindergarten schedule.

Registration for Junior and Senior Kindergarten will take place during the weeks of February 13th to Feb 24th, 2012. For added convenience an Open House/Registration evening will take place at all Catholic Elementary Schools on Wednesday, February 15th, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Parents and children will have the opportunity to tour the school, visit the Kindergarten classroom, meet staff, and register if you wish or take a registration package home.

NEWCOMER STUDENTS Newcomer students who have recently arrived in Ontario from countries where the usual means of communication is a language other than English, are invited to visit the Newcomer Reception Centre prior to registering for school. Each JK child that registers in a Catholic school will receive the book entitled,
"Yellow Bear Goes To Catholic School" in September.
